The Community Bike Library is a project developed as a part of our sustainability efforts and commitment to supporting people, place and Country.
By signing up to one of the bike library memberships you are getting more than just bike hire and giving more than just financial support to a growing social enterprise. You will be a part of a welcoming and supportive community that values health, nature, Indigenous culture, bike safety, the environment and much more.
How to join:
You can watch our step-by-step tutorial or follow the easy instructions listed below.
1. Create an account online with MyTurn (our service provider).
2. You will then be directed straight to our membership packages page but feel free to explore our inventory before purchasing a membership. to go back to the packages page got to Account – Membership – Membership Options.
3. Select the membership package that is right for you
4. Read and accept the terms and conditions of your selected membership.
3. Purchase your membership via the checkout.
4. Then you are good to go and can start reserving items through the inventory page.
All our memberships are valid for 12 months and can be renewed at any time by logging in and going to Account – Membership – Renewal Now.

Reserving & picking up items
To reserve an item simply go to our inventory page, pick the item you are after and select the dates you’d like to hire the item for and a pickup time.
You will then need to go to your cart and then submit it. If you do not do this step your selected item will not be reserved. You will receive a confirmation email once your reservation has been successfully submitted.
To pick up, your item/s simply arrives at the Parramatta Bike Hub at your selected pick-up time. If you have reserved additional items that aren’t covered by your membership, you will be asked to pay the additional hire fees upon pick-up (see below for discounted hire fees for members).
Please note that items are only available for pick-up on Saturdays between 10 am and 2 pm.
Additionally, if the item you have reserved has been returned to us either late or damaged by the previous loaner, we will inform you as soon as possible to organise an alternative or reschedule your pick-up time. We appreciate your understanding and patience!
Loan Period & Returning items:
The maximum loan period is 7 days, this is to ensure that all our items receive regular safety checks. If you would like to extend your loan for an additional week, please contact us at email@example.com and we will see what we can do.
It is preferred that you return your item the following Saturday between 10 am and 2 pm. However, if needed we can arrange a different drop off time with you during the week between 10 am – 5 pm. Please contact the email listed above to do so.
Upon returning your items will be inspected for any damages.
Late fees & lost or damaged items:
Late fees are set at $5 per day per item and are applied to any item that is not returned on or prior to the due date. If you are wanting to extend your loan or are unable to return the item(s) by the due date, please contact us at least 24 hours prior to the due date to avoid late fees.
We have this system in place to ensure that items are ready for the next person.
Our team conducts a safety test on each item before loaning them out. We ask that you take care and respect every item that you hire out and return them clean and in the same condition that they were issued. If an item is lost or returned with damages beyond normal wear and tear, you may be charged a replacement or repair fee that is dependent on the item and the damage.
Additionally, please let us know as soon as you are aware that an item in your care has been lost or damaged so that we can arrange alternatives for upcoming reservations.
